2009 - ROMAN YEAR OF THE MMIX

Posted in by CIVIL CIVIC | Edit

Actually, the year 1009 was the original date that Roman calender scholars put aside for mixing records, but the Romans were all but conquered by 476 (excepting the Byzantine Empire, but it's just not Roman without Rome ya know) plunging recorded music back by about 1401 years. There wasn't a single decent record made the whole time until DJ Edison decided to break the trend by inventing absurdist spoken word for children with his take on 'Mary Had A Little Lamb'. Prudently, the Romans had pencilled in 2009 as a safeguard. So to
commemorate, Civil Civic have been busy mixing their début single. In fact, they have already finished it, not ones to fuss about over things. Besides, there is a world to conquer, and baths, and wine, and baths in wine etc..
